Jackson Dylan Potter

We are truly excited about the birth of our first child and I guess Jackson was excited too as he decided to come early. He was born at approximately 7:00 PM on Wednesday August 12th 2009. His birth weight was 2.6 lbs and was approximately 14 inches long. He is currently in the NICU at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin as he was born at only 30 weeks gestation. He has some issues with breathing (as most premature babies), but appears to be in good health and doing well. Clarissa was able to hold him for the first time today and I should be able to hold him later on today (hopefully). The NICU nurses and doctors have been taking exceptional care of Jack and have been very compassionate and understanding with us. And he even met some of the family already with both grandfathers dropping everything to be with our family this week. We look forward to sharing updates with you all and catching up with you.
Love,
Brian & Clarissa

  1. CONGRATS Clarissa & Brian!! Welcome to the world Jackson :) We are so happy for you and hope you're doing well. I'm sure his early arrival and the hospital stay are a bit stressful!! We ended up loving the parenting tips of the NICU nurses, the little victories of tiny babies, and the amazing growth of Kaitlyn. I'm sure you'll have the same ups and downs with Jackson, but also the same amazing joy of watching him grow! Thinking of you and wishing you all the best! xoxoxo

  2. Congratulations! Of course he's excited to be out in the world because he has both of you as parents. It's wonderful that both of the grandpas have come to be there with you and to meet their grandson. I can't wait to meet him myself. All my best wishes are with you three and I LOVE his name! Much love, Brindi

  3. Welcome to your love-filled world, little Jackson! And congratulations Clarissa and Brian! So glad both grandpas have been able to share in this most precious time. I'm sure it also provides great comfort to those not able to be with you personally, at least yet. Please know that tons of love and best of blessings are being sent your way from Tucson! Love, Nancy
