We're Back

After a long hiatus we're back with photos of Ella and Jackson from the past few months. The kids are great and learning how to play together which is so fun to watch. We shot our first video clip and you can see them giggling and truly enjoying interacting with each other. Let's hope the close relationship lasts.

This October has been a special month with a flood of visitors coming to spend time with the kids. This month they got to visit with their grant-grandmother Gama, honorary Uncle Mickey Gallagher, their Uncle Joel and Granddad John, and Great Aunt Linda too. Such a treat to visit with dear family and friends. It'a Heat Wave

Summertime has kicked into high gear with record heat and humidity. The kids have been spoiled by visitors with Ella meeting her great-grandmother Gama for the first time. Next up were the Newmans and the kids enjoyed their time with the twins, Sydney and Xander. It's been a busy month with trips to the zoo, botanical gardens, science museum, and library.

Next up is a visit from Grandma Joyce coming to visit for Jackson's birthday. He turns two next month. We'll be sure to share photos and news from his birthday weekend. Until then enjoy the latest set of photos.

Summer Fun!

Happy 4th of July! Enjoyed a great weekend with the kids at the local parade, time at the park, and pool time too! Jackson had forgotten all about the pool but soon remembered how fun it it is. Ella was a trooper at 4 months taking in her first experience and didn't complain once. More than anything she liked the special attention.

This month the kids got their doctor's check-ups. Ella had a clean bill of health and is growing big and strong at the 80th percentile for height and weight. She may catch her brother soon who came in at the 15th percentile but more importantly graduated from the developmental clinic as he is right on track despite his early arrival.

A busy summer lies ahead with visits from family and friends planned for the next few weeks. Wishing all those we love a wonderful summertime. Enjoy the latest pics of our little ones.

Spring 2011

The highlight of spring has been sunshine! After weeks of rain it has been beautiful here which means the kids enjoy time at the park, play dates at the botanical garden, and of course a baby pool. Ella continues to grow big and strong weighing in at 15 lbs as of mid June. Jackson still challenges mom and dad at mealtime and surprised us by chowing down on chips and salsa.

Jackson just started music class and is using new words everyday. He likes to give hugs and kisses to his sister but sometimes crushes her instead. Ella remains easy going and is sporting a frilly and pink spring and summer wardrobe. We hope to try swim class as a family later this summer. New photos are uploaded for family and friends. Enjoy!

Happy Easter

Just sharing a few photos from our busy April. The kids enjoyed a visit from their Uncle Bill and cousin Quinn. Mom went back to work and the kids have a wonderful nanny who enjoys taking them out to play in Columbus. And boy did the kids get spoiled for Easter with lots of gifts from family far away and candy too. They got to spend the weekend with Great Aunt Linda and enjoy a break from the rain with an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. See the photo highlights on our Flickr page.

Ella's First Month

Ella is now 5 weeks old and is a happy and healthy girl. She is nearly 10 lbs. and has grown another inch already outgrowing some of her newborn outfits. It's been a fun few weeks at home. Jackson decided to get in on the attention and broke his arm two days after his sister came home. The cast is now off and his fractured list is healed. Despite the cast the kids have been out and about in Columbus visiting the zoo, the science museum, the park, and story-time to name a few. We are all hoping for springtime weather so we can enjoy the outdoors more.

Just like most second children Ella is having to share her parents with her older brother. It seems Jackson stole his way into more photos than Ella, something we'll have to work on. There are some upcoming photo opportunities to take advantage of with more family coming to meet Ella this April. Her Uncle Bill and cousin Quinn come for a visit, then her Potter grandparents later in the month. In the meantime see our recent family photos to catch up with the kids and we'll be sure to post more next month.

Mother & daughter

I wanted to share a couple of more pictures of Ella (and mom). Ella is doing great. She is perfectly healthy. Jackson met her yesterday. It was pretty cute, he would pet her softly and then clap for himself and smile. Mom is feeling good today. Her Drs. are surprised by her quick recovery. We are looking forward to getting home and settled (which should be Sunday at this point). Thank you everyone for all your well wishes and thoughtful notes.

ELLA SOPHIA POTTER

Jackson has a sister! Ella was born at noon today. She weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces. Mom and Ella are both doing great.

Jackson is all ready to meet his new sister. He went to daycare today and will join us and his little sister at the hospital later today. Should not be much longer now!
