Jackson's second Christmas was all about Elmo. Instead of sleeping through the day he had a ball unwrapping all is gifts, a truly spoiled child this year. The theme seemed to be Elmo and he truly loved his stuffed animal and Elmo cell phone. Grandma Joyce came to visit and we had a nice, quiet family holiday complete with snow on the ground. Earlier in the month Jackson had his first visit to see Santa and much to Santa's relief was one of the few young kids who didn't cry. Santa in Ohio was in a safari setting, go figure. Check here for photo highlights.

Back By Popular Demand
OK - the blog has been on hiatus. And we have certainly been hearing loud and clear that photos and news of Jackson are still in demand and we did our best to upload and share photos from the last few months. Here are some highlights:
* Despite being as sick as a dog Jackson got to spend his first birthday with relatives and friends many meeting him for the first time when we travled to AZ. See the photos
* Jackson was a hit at his first wedding of his grandfather and new bride.
* Jackson got his first haircut not long after his first birthday. He looks like such a big bouy now.
* In the fall Jackson traveled to Boston to meet his Potter cousins and had a blast in Beantown. See the photos.
* Now at 15 months Jackson is taking his first steps and settling in to his new home in the Columbus suburbs.

Summertime
Jackson passed the ten month mark and is trying all sorts of new things. We can finally say he is eating solids as evidenced by his messy mealtime photos. More food is going in his mouth then his clothes so this is progress. Jackson loves peas and apples and tries new things every day.
We think he is very close to crawling, he can roll around and get to his toys very easily so it will be no time before we have to truly baby proof the house. I think we'll have our work cut out for us. Besides being more active he is also more talktive clearly saying "ma-ma" and "da-da" even though he doesn't know what it means.
To truly kick off summertime Jackson had his first dip in the pool and LOVED IT! Fourth of July will be our next big holiday celebration and there may be some fireworks in the future for Jackson. Until my next holiday outfit you can take a peek at some recent photos.
PS - the camera is on the fritz but thought you'd want to see new photos despite the annoying border

Hometown Fan
With the blooming of spring flowers and the sound of chirping birds so too begins the baseball season. I can't tell you how many sports clothes relatives across the country have sent. I am well stocked with gear from college teams and the pros including Texas, Boston, Arizona and now Ohio. It's all quite confusing but after a weekend with the Potter side of the family I am learning it's all about rooting for the home team.
This month check out photos in my Red Sox gear and Celtics. It's a great time to be a Boston fan with the Celts and Bruins in the playoffs and the beginning of a long season for the Sox. Who is this Big Pappi and when will he start hitting the ball out of the park? Although I have time to decide what sports I'll try it's fun to watch for now.
For those keeping track I am going to be 9 months this week. Still not quite 16 lbs. yet but am growing tall measuring close to 2 feet. I am looking forward to summer finally arriving in Ohio and spending quality time at the park with my family. Next time I hope to share my summer adventures with you. Until then root, root, root for the home team.

Springtime Fun!
Spring has arrived in Columbus which means walks in the park and trips to the playground at daycare. I also have had to wear my fair share of spring holiday gear which you can see for yourself. Check out my St. Patty's Day and Easter photo spread.
To get you caught up and I just past the 8 month mark and top the scales at more than 15 pounds. Still little compared to other 8 month old babies but growing big and strong. I can now hold up my head all by myself, roll over onto my back, and love to put toys in my mouth. I am working on rolling from my back to my tummy, eating oatmeal which I hate, and next up crawling.
I had a visit this month from my Grandma and my Aunt Linda - next up Pops Potter and Uncle Billy. Happy spring - and don't forget to check out my latest photos.

March Madness!
I know what you're thinking, and I have to say that you are correct. I AM ADORABLE! I am not being vain, I am just stating the undisputed truth. My dad asked me recently why when I was not fully cooked looking like an alien that everyone said I looked like daddy, but now that I am cute everyone says I look like my mommy. Guess I lucked out. This week I turned SEVEN months old-AARP here I come. I am also looking forward to my first March Madness tourney. I hope I have enough allowance accrued to buy a couple bracket sheets. Dad said that I need to be 8 months old before I can start gambling, but I should be able to get in a pool in school without the 'rents finding out. (Another good reason to dip in the ol' college fund).
This month also marks the end of my monthly RSV shots. What will I do without getting stuck with a needle the size of my leg every month? I will have to find something to occupy my time, like learning how to sit up independently and keeping my parents on their toes by trying to roll off the couch and bed. I currently weigh 14 lbs. 11 ozs. and my parents just started trying to feed me this yucky lumpy formula that they call "oatmeal" YUCK!!

Six months and counting
Believe it or not I will be 26 weeks old this week, or six months. I now weigh in at 13 lbs. and the doctor is pleased with my steady growth. I started daycare this year and love my teachers, they think I am pretty great too. Winter is in full swing and so far I have had a double ear infection and croup. Let's hope that's the end of winter illnesses. I do share and pass along my bugs to my parents.
Today I'll be watching my first Super Bowl and cheering for the Saints, gotta root for the underdog! There are some new photos you can check out on my photo sharing site.

Happy New Year
OK - so I took a break. Life has been busy, Mom and Dad moved us from Milwaukee to Columbus, Ohio. I celebrated my first round of holidays with family, meet almost all my family members over the past several weeks, and started daycare. But now I'm back and wishing everyone a great 2010.
For everyone that missed seeing my mug you are in for a treat. Check out all the photos now on my photo sharing site.
