Jackson has already started taking after his daddy. That is, he has been packing on the weight. Today he finally surpassed his birth weight (1.2 kg) and continues to increase in his feeds. He no longer requires additional nutrients and lipids via IV but rather is taking his feeds through a g-tube (tube that goes to his stomach). Apparently the magic number is 1800 kg when he will be able to regulate his temperature better and can come out of his incubator for good. He continues to require CPAP at pressure level 6 and we are hoping he can tolerate a decrease in the pressure over the weekend. Recently, we have been able to spend more and more time holding him. Today's picture shows a tube feeding in progress while Clarissa holds him.
